Jesuit Center, Wernernsville, PA.   When I was director of the Jesuit Spiritual Center of Grand Coteau, LA, a friend of mine was director at this Center.  We spent time sharing ideas every year.

Wernersville.  this center sponsored my first year in East Africa.  While I was there the Jesuits of East Africa invited me to stay longer and establish a Jesuit Spiritual Center in Nairobi.  Thus, Mwangaza House began.

Alpen Glow, evening, from a large granite boulder above one of the best campsites, after descending from Burrow pass, 11k plus, on the shore of Piutte Creek, night 6 or 7, probably night 6 because on night 7 we had an enormous rain, wind, lightening, and thunder storm about 8-9 P.M. Everybody survived the storm quite well.

Stream crossing on the very last day of the 9 days.   A humbling experience for an old ex-Jesuit who thinks he knows the Matterhorn hike like a bike ride around White Rock Lake.  Since the past two Matterhorn hikes had low water in the creeks, so must be the case this year.  Wrong!  High water was everywhere.  Late & heavy snow.  Thanks, Andy, for loaning me your Keene sandals all 8 or 10 times I needed them.
