So sorry, Brent, we are again all out of cupcakes.  However, as a consolation, please accept our little monthly check of $2000 for the marvelous Souls Harbor.  A capital campaign is on to collect 1.7 mil. to replace the old, run down 65 bed facility with a 100 bed facility.  August 24, at the Mockingbird Angelica there will be a special movie supporting the Souls Harbor campaign.  Welcome.

Following an ancient Jewish marriage custom, Austin stomps on a wine glass wrapped in a napkin.    The custom certainly seems to refer back to the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem.  Then multiple interpretations come up.  I chose the idea that the couple celebrates how all of our ancestors have navigated the broken glass in their lives and says to the couple that they, too, because of being a couple, will navigate successfully the broken glass in their own lives.
