1. ROMEO MEET: Friday, April 29 , Jason's Deli, Collin Creek Mall, west side of Central, 1:00.   Welcome all wakos,  you will fit right in.                                                                                                                                                      
2. JULIET LUNCHEON, (aka.,just us ladies into eating together):                

Please join us for the next JULIET gathering.  Thursday EVENING to include those who work during the day.  May, 5 at 6:00 for cocktails, followed by dinner at 7:00.  MARCUS CAFE in the II Creeks Shopping Center Custer at Lookout in Richardson,  South of Bush Turnpike.

 Named "The best patio for outdoor dining in the Metroplex" (or if weather demands we can eat inside as well).  Great Italian food, live music, full bar,   friendly atmosphere.  Come, Eat, Drink, Laugh, Sing, Enjoy the music and friends!

Tree Project update: thanks to Diane McClug in Plano I am looking into some possibilities.

November 4: we are planning a Sunday Mass of Remembrance, i.e., remembering family members & friends no longer with us, tying it in with the All Saints feast. More on the ritual later.  We are talking about putting pictures & candles on a table on the stage or just on the stage.  Other ideas are welcome.

Any adults or families interested in a spiritual growth program after Masses during the winter?  Jane Williams has offered to coordinate it.  I may even get to sit in occasionally.  J.S.

I am looking for someone who lives in the area of Parker & Ohio who would be willing to bring Marie Green to Sunday Mass.  She is now living at Sunrise Retirement.  J.S.

Welcome to the little village of Shelby. Up the hill the crowd of riders is so dense you have to walk. Apologies for all pix on RAGBRAI (Register's Annual Great Bike Ride across Iowa). This event was such a marvelous slice of Americana at its very best. 35,000 riders estimated.

The inmates are allowed out for the week. Lots of them. A ROMEO? One of ours?

These little ladies told me they are Mennonites. They make a wicked Rhubarb-Strawberry pie, $2, per slice. I had 4 one day.

Day 4, departing from Des Moines, we arrived at the little town of Runnels, my favorite pass through town. The high school band welcomed us along with cheerleaders, big and little, and beautiful shade. Impossible to get out of Runnels in less than 2 hours.

 Community Events:  

  1.   Our next Habitat special day is, August 3, This Saturday.  Look for the neighborhood behind the Home Depot on Central, 11^th & Ave. E.  
A person may also work any Saturday.  We are getting there.

2.   ROMEO lunch Friday, July 26, 1:00, as usual.   

 3.  The Women's Lunch Group on Thursdays is on vacation until August.    For info talk with Carol or Bernadette.  

Runnel's local dance school welcoming us with 3 lines of dancing girls. Line 2 is in the red outfits behind the girls dancing.

The lady thanked me for taking the picture of her bus. She said they hired graffiti artists to do the job. Americana at its Best.
