1.   Habitat build, new house, June 1, this Saturday, the neighborhood behind the Home Depot on Central, 11^th & Ave. E.  We have 4 special JSMinistry days, June 1, this week & 21 (a Friday), July 13, and
August 3.  A person may also work any Saturday.  The house will need
about 18 Saturdays of work.  I’ll be there Saturday.

2.   Romeos’ lunch Friday, May 31, 1:00, Jason's on 75 & Collin
Creek.  

 3.   The  Women's Lunch Group on Thursdays at noon has started.  For info talk with Rosemary, Carol, Bernadette, or Maureen.

4.  Note: I will be in Moore, OK, Monday-Wednesday, working with Bona Responds.  I will hand deliver our $1000 contribution to OK to be implemented on the ground by Bona Responds and Jim Mahar.   Thanks, Everyone.

I asked Lynda how much it would cost to sponsor a person.   She said  it would probably be $20-$30. They typically want pajamas or a couple pieces of clothing or a small appliance, things like that…
She also said The Wellness Center will contact as many of their people as they can to ask for needs and wants. If they don’t need anything specific, we give them a gift card depending on if they asked for a restaurant, groceries or general items.

True?    I believe there is an important distinction to be made between religion and spirituality. Religion I take to be concerned with belief in the claims to salvation of one faith tradition or another–an aspect of which is acceptance of some form of meta-physical or philosophical reality, including perhaps an idea of heaven or hell. Connected with this are religious teachings or dogma, ritual, prayers and so on. Spirituality I take to be concerned with those qualities of the human spirit–such as love and compassion, patience, tolerance, forgiveness, contentment, a sense of responsibility, a sense of harmony, which bring happiness to both self and others.
