3rd Sunday of Lent, March 8, 2026

Exodus 17:  Strike the rock, and the water will flow from it for the people to drink.
Romans 5:  For Christ, while we were still helpless, died at the appointed time for the ungodly.
John 4:   If you knew the gift of God and who is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink, ‘you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”

The love of a good friend is the balm that frees us, supports us, makes possible for us the fullness of life.
The Monastic Way, Sister Joan Chittister

From Lynda Fleming:

Once again, we would like to put together Easter treat bags for the guys at Souls Harbor. Donna Dinsmore is out of town for several months preparing for a new grandchild, so I will be coordinating the collection. Below is a list of the items that we’re hoping to include. If you would prefer to give a monetary donation, that would be wonderful! Please see me at church or send your contribution via Venmo or Zelle to 972-754-0823.
Socks
Toiletries (travel size)
Toothbrush and small toothpaste
Candy
Laundry detergent pods

Thanks, in advance, for your generosity and support!

  • 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time, July 5, 2026

Zecariah 9:  He shall banish the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem; the warrior’s bow shall be banished, and he shall proclaim peace to the nations.  His dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.
Romans 8:  If the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the one who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also, through his Spirit that dwells in you.
Matthew 11:  “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”

The question is not what we should celebrate, but what shouldn’t we celebrate. Every occasion is an occasion. It’s not the date on the calendar that matters, it’s the cognizance in our own soul
of the amount of goodness around us that is in question.
