Charlie & Gil

Welcome in to Sir Charlie & Gil?  Maybe.  Put it to the board.

  1. Love for the Kids picnic, December 12.  Book it.  Bill will have a signup sheet.  This is a great event for underprivileged kids, hundreds of them.
  2. Services of Hope, 6540 Victoria Ave. Dallasstill want to help out with serving the less fortunate at Thanksgiving, like we used to do at the church? Book the Saturday before Thanksgiving, November 21.                                                                                                                                          I would say that this is a little different than our former experience.  The charity will pack over a 1000 Thanksgiving dinner baskets.  Instead of serving a meal, volunteers will load the baskets and hand them to the appropriate people.

There are two hand out times, morning & afternoon.  I think Rosemary & I will spend a couple of hours there, probably late morning or, say, around 3:00 in the afternoon.

Daniel, the director, says they need all the volunteer help they can get.  6540 Victoria Ave. is the address in Dallas, near Love Field, east side, off of Mockingbird.  Welcome.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Judy-Dick

Friendship is one of the treasures of life that cannot be bought. It can only be cultivated. It must be earned. It must be tended. It is impossible to have a good friend without being one ourselves.

    2.  From Lynda Fleming:

As many of you know, I’m part of a lovely company called Caring Transitions that helps seniors downsize and relocate and conduct estate sales. Similar to the angel trees that you see in shopping malls for children, senior citizens also need our help to make their holidays brighter. If you’re interested in “sponsoring” a senior citizen or if you simply want to donate money and I’ll be happy to be your personal shopper, please text me at 972-754-0823. I need the gifts by December 12th.  I’ll be at church next week, if you’d like to bring them to me then.
