1.  Habitat Build, Saturday morning, the 18^th, 11^th Street & Ave. E.  Welcome.  This is a unique experience of giving.

2.  Dallas Symphony Orchestra Christmas Concert.  It may be only August, but this superb performance sells out.  We get discounted tickets as a group and because we know someone.  Date: December 14, 8:00, tickets will be $37 or $47.  Wine & Cheese at The Rectory pre-performance.  Traditionally, this has been a beautiful evening.

3.  Free Medical Clinic in September (message from John Ernst, CCAC):   "September 29, there will be a large one day free clinic at the Dallas Convention Center sponsored by our national organization, of which we are members.  Thousands of people will be served all by volunteers."  Download Medical clinic 8-10-12

November 4, Sunday Mass of Remembrance, thanks to all of you who made this Mass so special.

Tree Project update: maybe in December we will plant 100 or so trees at the new facility of Collin Co. Child Advocacy Center, Park & Los Rios.  Waiting to hear from them.

Nov. 17 Work Project: Alex Moore of Lakepoint Church helped us tremendously with our Rowlett house.  He now has a special renovation project which needs volunteer help.  It is quite a project involving another church in south Dallas.  Can you give a few hours?  Check out the project:  Download Nov. 17 Project.doc    I will be there.    Hello, my name is Anthony DeGenova.  I am 17 years old, and am working on my Boy Scouts Eagle Project.  My mission is to donate LEGO blocks to under-privileged children.  This project includes the collection, cleaning, sterilizing, sorting, packaging, and delivery of the LEGO blocks to a few charities that cater to children. I plan to donate all of mine, and would like very much to collect as many as possible from friends and neighbors like you, who wouldn’t mind giving theirs up for needy children.  I am accepting both used and new LEGO blocks. Please bring the LEGO blocks to church and my parents will pick them up.  Alternatively, I will gladly pick them up from your house, at your convenience.

For those who don’t have a decent Bible or a book of the readings, here are two links that I use,

The difference?  The first is Protestant more or less, and the second is officially Catholic and has the 12 little books in between the O.T. & N.T., called Deuterocanonical or Apocrypha. 

Both are good translations.
