From Kathleen Gardiner: Charles R. Walter upright piano.  This hand-crafted piano is in the traditional style with a walnut finished cabinet. It features a 40 inch sounding board & is recently tuned.  Asking price: $2000 & will negotiate with serious buyer.  972-542-0288

From Frank & Laura Reyes: Plano Community Theater. The dates are Jan. 22,23,24,29,30 and 31 at 7:15pm. The show is called Villian Wore a Dirty Shirt, a Melodrama set around the gold
rush era. Tickets are $15 in advance or $17 at the door, but that includes

our audience is good and liquored up. You can call and reserve tickets for $15 and pay for them at the door.  Seats are benches, so bring a pillow.  972-422-2575  Want to put together a group with Rosemary & me for Jan. 29?

  • Reminder for the 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time, September 7, 2025

Wisdom 9: Who can know God’s counsel, or who can conceive what the LORD intends?  For the deliberations of mortals are timid,  and unsure are our plans.

Philemon: Perhaps this is why he was away from you for a while, that you might have him back forever, no longer as a slave but more than a slave, a brother, beloved especially to me, but even more so to you, as a man and in the Lord.

Luke 14: Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.

    True?

The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function.  One should, for example, be able to see that things are hopeless and yet be determined to make them otherwise.
