“I have never looked upon ease and happiness as ends in themselves – such an ethical basis I call the ideal of a pigsty. The ideals which have lighted my way, and time after time have given me new courage to face life cheerfully, have been Kindness, Beauty, and Truth.”

From Geri Moran with the Shawl Ministry for Babies: Dear Friends of Stack Ministries,
On behalf of all volunteers at St.Elizabeth Ann Seton Shawl Ministry for babies we would like to thank you for your interest in participating in this outreach. We could use knitters, crocheters, and fringers plus people to sew on labels and make the tags as the need is great.
For those who are available to stop by, we meet the second Tuesday of each month (August 11th) at 7pm in the Faith Formation Center located at 3100 W.Spring Creek Pkwy, PLN 75023 I believe this ministry may be a blessing to you as well.
From Marianne Elwell concerning the cruise next summer:
Re the cruise – if someone is interested in the cruise, or even think they might be interested, they only have to put a deposit of $25.00 per person by 8/26. They can always cancel (up to a certain point and I will find out what the latest cancel date is), but we need at least 8 cabins booked by then or we lose the group status.
If you can put in the blog to encourage anyone who even might be interested (including yourselves in case your hips fail) just to put the deposit down, if we get at least 8 cabins, we’ll be good to go.
True?Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.

Note: Following discussion among the board members, we decided that we have to give up inviting our dogs to Mass. Some people have allergies, some are skittish, but above all the Health Dept. might get upset and invite us out. So sorry, you kids and dog lovers. J.S.
