A message from Lynda Fleming:

Senior Citizen Angel Tree

As many of you know, I’m part of a lovely company called Caring Transitions that helps seniors downsize and relocate and conduct estate sales. Similar to the angel trees that you see in shopping malls for children, senior citizens also need our help to make their holidays brighter. If you’re interested in “sponsoring” a senior citizen or if you simply want to donate money and I’ll be happy to be your personal shopper, please contact me at lynda.fleming23@gmail.com. All gifts need to be dropped off to me by December 5th.

Thanks, in advance, for your thoughtfulness and generosity!

     True?

All societies are evil, sorrowful, inequitable; and so they will always be. So if you really want to help this world, what you will have to teach is how to live in it. And that no one can do who has not himself learned how to live in it in the joyful sorrow and sorrowful joy of the knowledge of life as it is.

12th Sunday in Ordinary Time, June 21, 2026

Jeremiah 20:  But the LORD is with me, like a mighty champion: my persecutors will stumble, they will not triumph. In their failure they will be put to utter shame, to lasting, unforgettable confusion.
Romans 5:  But the gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one the many died, how much more did the grace of God and the gracious gift of the one man Jesus Christ overflow for the many.
Matthew 10:  Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s knowledge. Even all the hairs of your head are counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Serenity is not the ability to accommodate wrongs; it is the ability to point them out without apology. “Not to be angered by injustice,” Eknath Easwaran writes, “is a lack of sensitivity.”
