    Genesis 2: The Man said, "Finally! Bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh! Name her Woman for she was made from Man."   Therefore a man leaves his father and mother and embraces his wife. They become one flesh.

    Hebrews 2:  Since the One who saves and those who are saved have a common origin, Jesus doesn't hesitate to treat them as family.

    Mark 10:  In the original creation, God made male and female to be together.  Because of this, a man leaves father and mother, and in marriage he becomes one flesh with a woman – no longer two individuals, but forming a new unity.

    Rosemary's Blessing:

    from Pope Francis

    “Rivers do not drink their own water;

    trees do not eat their own fruit;

    the sun does not shine on itself

    and flowers do not spread their fragrance for themselves.

    Living for others is a rule of nature.

    We are born to help each other.

    No matter how difficult it is.

    Life is good when you are happy

    but much better when others are happy because of you.

    Let us remember that pain is a sign that we are alive,

    problems are a sign that we are strong and

    prayer is a sign that we are not alone.

    If we can acknowledge these truths and

    condition our hearts and minds, our lives will be more meaningful,

    different and

    worthwhile.”

    Isaiah 50:  And the Master, God, stays right there and helps me, so I'm not disgraced. Therefore I set my face like flint, confident that I'll never regret this.

    James 2:  For instance, you come upon an old friend dressed in rags and half-starved  and say, "Good morning, friend! Be clothed in Christ! Be filled with the Holy Spirit!" and walk off without providing so much as a coat or a cup of soup – where does that get you?

    Mark 9:  Calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, "Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You're not in the driver's seat; I am. Don't run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I'll show you how.

    Isaiah 35:  Springs of water will burst out in the wilderness, streams flow in the desert.   Hot sands will become a cool oasis, thirsty ground a splashing fountain.

    James 2: Listen, dear friends. Isn't it clear by now that God operates quite differently? He chose the world's down-and-out as the kingdom's first citizens, with full rights and privileges. This kingdom is promised to anyone who loves God.

    Mark 7:  He took the man off by himself, put his fingers in the man's ears and some spit on the man's tongue.  Then Jesus looked up in prayer, groaned mightily, and commanded, "Ephphatha! – Open up!" And it happened. The man's hearing was clear and his speech plain – just like that.

    Rosemary's Blessing:

    Dust If You Must

    By Rose Milligan

    Dust if you must, but wouldn’t it be better

    To paint a picture, or write a letter,

    Bake a cake, or plant a seed,

    Ponder the difference between want and need?

    Dust if you must, but there’s not much time,

    With rivers to swim, and mountains to climb;

    Music to hear, and books to read;

    Friends to cherish and life to lead.

    Dust if you must, but the world’s out there,

    With the sun in your eyes and the wind in your hair,

    A flutter of snow, a shower of rain,

    This day will not come around again.

    Dust if you must, but bear in mind,

    Old age will come and it’s not kind,

    And when you go(and go you must),

    You yourself, will make more dust.
