Let us pray to our God

To the God of Mary and Joseph,

To the God of Abraham and Sarah.

May our spirit fill the world with beauty and wonder.

May our mind seek truth with humility and openness.

May our hearts forgive without limit.

May our love for friend, enemy and outcast be without measure.

May our needs be few and my living simple.

What good did it do to be grouchy today?

Did your surliness drive any trouble away?

Did you cover more ground than you usually do?

Because of the grouch that you carried with you?

If not, what’s the use of a grouch or a frown?

If it won’t smooth a path or a grim trouble down?

When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us,

we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures,

have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand.

The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion,

who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement,

who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing

and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.

Surgery at Dallas Presby, 12/28 to take the pinch off of my spinal nerve which sent pain from my derriere all the way to my right foot & arch.
the only pain now comes from the incision. which itches.

Surgery at Dallas Presby yesterday to take the pinch off of my spinal nerve which sent pain from my derriere all the way to my right foot & arch.
the only pain now comes from the incision. This was expected to be pretty significant. Remedy: 2 pain pills. Result: no pain, but significant dizziness. I thought I had downed 2 shots of Jack Daniels.

John Stack

Hello Everyone. I am happy to report that John had his surgery on Friday. Everything went well and he is a happy camper. He walked down the hall tonight with his walker and NO pain. He comes home tomorrow.

Special thanks to Mike Carrell who spent the day in the hospital with John waiting for the surgery.
