My Dearest Harper, I will really miss you this upcoming month because your grandmother Cathy is taking a trip.  Have a fun month and we will rejoice to see you at the end of the month.

There are so many riders every day (16-20 K) that to get into and through the numerous little pass-through towns (as opposed to overnight towns), bikers have to walk.

Melvin, Iowa welcomes Ragbrai riders.
