      Bright Angel

Does not every married couple begin their married life by hiking "Rim to Rim?   That is, going all the way down the Bright Angel Trail from the South Rim to the river in the bottom of the Canyon, then climbing all the way up to the North Rim, maybe 14 thousand feet total, in one day.

    True?

No matter how big and bad you are, when a two year old hands you a toy telephone, you answer it.

  • Reminder for the 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time, October 26, 2025

Sirach 35:  The LORD is a God of justice,  who knows no favorites.
2 Timothy 4:  The Lord will rescue me from every evil threat and will bring me safe to his heavenly kingdom.
Luke 18:  But the tax collector stood off at a distance and would not even raise his eyes to heaven but beat his breast and prayed, ‘O God, be merciful to me a sinner.’

I have a friend who follows the sun around her back yard in a deck chair with a glass of fresh fruit juice in one hand and a book in the other. Here’s the question: Is she “wasting” time or “celebrating” time? Think carefully before you answer. It can get to be a very important question as life goes by.
