    The Purple Stride Event to raise money for pancreatic cancer (this is the cancer Carol had) is being help at Klyde Warren park in Dallas on April 30th between 8:00 and 12:00.   The event is a 5K walk or run.  You can find more information at the following URL:

    There is a volunteer opportunity on Saturday, April 9, 2022.   The Annual All Kids Count Event and we need help from amazing people like you! The volunteer hours will be from 9 AM – 3 PM at Circle R. Ranch in Flower Mound. 

    They need volunteers to come out and help set up for the event, and assist at certain activities including horses, arts and crafts, games, bounce houses, food and drink stations, and more.

    Tree Project update: thanks to Diane McClurg we may plant 100 or so trees at the new facility of Collin Co. Child Advocacy Center, Park & Los Rios.

    November 4, Sunday Mass of Remembrance, i.e., remembering family members & friends no longer with us, tying it in with the All Saints feast.  Bring a picture.

    I am still searching for a job for one of our own, Rick Turner.  The last 8 years he has worked as a night warehouse man for Home Depot, which is now laying off numerous workers.  Does anyone have a lead on this kind of work or something similar?  He can do fork lift work, night work, make a great driver. A good man.

    Anyone want to help with the readings at Mass who has not been asked?  I include those of you who need practice in speaking in front of a group because of FEAR.

    From Frank & Laura Reyes on the plays they are in:

    Dr. Jekyl is the one Laura and I will be in, put on by the Plano Community Theater. It is a fund raiser for the Plano Children’s Theater and will be on 10/26, 27 and 28. All adult cast and kind of PG13.
    Little Shop of Horrors is a musical put on by the Children’s Theater and will be at the Courtyard Theater on 11/2,3,4,9, 10 and 11. Blair has a part in it and Blake is going to work the man-eating plant.
    Tickets for each are $7 in advance, $9 at the door.

    What a generous group we have! The donated food totaled 359 pounds! This compares with 237 pounds last December.
