  • True?  The line separating good & evil passes not through states, nor between classes, nor between political parties either–but right through every human heart–and through all human hearts.  This line shifts.  Inside us, it oscillates with the years.  And even within hearts overwhelmed by evil, one small bridgehead of good is retained.                                             Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Gulag Archipelago

  • Our Christmas family: mom, 3 little girls, and a baby boy on the way.  We have reached our goal and doubled it!  More Sunday.

  • Carol Eshelbrenner asks for any & all Dale Carnegie books lying around.  Her daughter Cary, a medical intern in New Orleans says that all the interns get copies of this book & they do not have enough.

  • Just a reminder that we have a treasure in our community: Greg Rogers.  He can do any building and handiwork.  Just ask Rosemary.     email: greg@able-bodiedconstruction.com  Phone 214-686-0892.

Exodus 19:  Therefore, if you hearken to my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my special possession, dearer to me than all other people, though all the earth is mine.
Romans 5:  Not only that, but we also boast of God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
Matthew 9:  Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. As you go, make this proclamation: ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, drive out demons.

It is serenity that walks us through all the changes of life. The serene person is full of the courage to let life happen in all its forms until it is possible to see clearly what must be pruned, what must be purged and what must be allowed to pursue its own perfection so that we may all grow with it.

    • 3rd Sunday of Easter, April 19, 2026

Acts 2:  Jesus the Nazarene was a man commended to you by God with mighty deeds, wonders, and signs, which God worked through him in your midst, as you yourselves know. This man, delivered up by the set plan and foreknowledge of God, you killed, using lawless men to crucify him. But God raised him up, releasing him from the throes of death, because it was impossible for him to be held by it.
1 Peter 1:  He was known before the foundation of the world but revealed in the final time for you, who through him believe in God who raised him from the dead and gave him glory,
Luke 24:  That very day, the first day of the week, two of Jesus’ disciples were going to a village seven miles from Jerusalem called Emmaus, and they were conversing about all the things that had occurred.  And it happened that while they were conversing and debating, Jesus himself drew near and walked with them, but their eyes were prevented from recognizing him.

It’s not difficult to get rich.   But it’s difficult to learn to have enough.
