      1.   Our next Habitat special day is probably September.  Look for the neighborhood behind the Home Depot on Central, at 11 th Ave.   A person may also work any Saturday. There is still work to be done on the current house.

  • Sunday Mass Reminder for December 9, 2007, Advent, 2nd Sunday

    Mass: Second Sunday of Advent: 9:30; coffee, donuts, home made muffins, & juice on the house.

    Place: Vines High School on 15th between Custer & Independence.

    Readings: Isaiah 11, 1-10; Psalm 72; Romans 15, 4-9; Matthew 3, 1-12

    Thanksgiving Tree:  will be set up on the stage.  Nearby will be paper ornaments on which you may answer the question, " I thank God this year for…"  Use the ribbons to tie it onto the tree.  Kids will find special ornaments that have a picture to color on one side, while the blessing can be put on the other side.  We will keep it up every Sunday into Christmas Eve Mass at 4:00.  Perhaps a couple of blessings can be read anonymously each Sunday.  Our Thanksgiving continues into Christmas.

    Lutheran Church Sanctuary: when the police made us all take refuge from a violent storm that flattened our tent & many others, hundreds of us spent the night in this hospitable church.

    People spent the night everywhere. Great spirit despite it all. Next morning everyone mounted up and rode on.
