Rosemary’s Blessing:  A Prayer for Easter Sunday (from A Book of Irish American Blessings and Prayers by Andrew Greeley)

Oh God who bestows life prodigous and of whose abundant graciousness the rabbit and the egg and the lily are symbols, renew our life of faith on this morning of joy and help us to sing the alleluia with confidence and hope that some day, just like Jesus, we too will rise again.  We ask this in the name of the Risen Jesus.

Special Project: building a roof on a house.  July 7, Saturday, starting 8:00.  Come & bring tools like a framing nail gun, table saw, circular saw, extension ladder, old paint brushes for tar, extension cords, levels, and hand tools like hammers.  We may have to finish July 14.

Here is the quirky prayer said to be recited each day by Pope Francis and written by St. Thomas Moore reminding us to live joyfully.  It is said Thomas Moore was known for his humor and was also a man not appreciated during his lifetime.

Prayer to live Joyfully:

Grant me, O Lord good digestion and also something to digest.

Grant me,O Lord a healthy body, and the necessary good humor to maintain it.

Grant me a simple soul that knows no boredom, grumblings, sighs or laments.

Grant me, O Lord, a sense of humor.

Allow me grace to be able to take a joke–to discover in life a bit of Joy and to be able to share it with others.
