The mantra we frequently pray, "Come, Lord, Jesus, come," means somehow in Advent we have to make sure we are hungry, that is, that there is room inside us for "more."  Who else do I need to "take in" my heart and my mind?

Like Jesus, we can give the God who dwells in us a way of coming to human expression in the way we are neighbor, the way we are in solidarity with those who are different from us or who have less than we, the way we put an end to divisions, and the way we are more expansive and inclusive in our loving, forgiving and giving.

As we live this holy season of Advent, let us remember "God comes to you disguised as your life."*

For those of you who heard, yes, Rosemary fell on her bike Thursday morning (on the path near the corner of East Lawther and Garland Road).  The path was wet and she fell on a curve.  No broken bones, but she hit the back of her helmet.  She is being watched by our internist and me.   She is also sore all over.
