5. Welcome all, The Great Annual Anniversary Party, 10^th Anniversary (bet you figured it would never last this long), April 25^th, Saturday, Heritage Farm, 15^th & Custer, 6:00 P.M., Covered dish, kids welcomed. Vows will be renewed by numerous special couples, like usual.

6. Special request. Anybody have a good running, good starting, used, walk behind gasoline lawnmower you are willing to donate or sell inexpensively? We are looking for a lawnmower for Jackie.

7. Our dear friend, Mary Ellen, is no longer homeless. She signed on at Preston Place, Preston & Park, and will move in May 15. A successful visit here this past week. A discovery: so many apartments and retirement communities in the Plano area have waiting lines 6-12 people long.

Soul's Harbor

Sunday, December 19th we will be collecting sweatshirts and hoodies for the men at Soul's Harbor. Also Brent will bring the truck, for any items you want to donate.

We would like to invite those on Zoom specifically to participate in bringing their donations for Souls Harbor’s thrift stores, as well as their donations of new hoodies or jackets for Souls Harbor residents, on Sunday, Dec. 19. For your convenience a Souls Harbor van will be at Legacy Academy that Sunday morning from 9:15 to 10:30 AM, to collect your donations.

1. Our next Habitat special day is Friday, June 21.    Look for the neighborhood behind the Home Depot on Central, 11^th& Ave. E. We have 2 more special JSMinistry days, July 13, and August 3. A person may also work any Saturday.

2.   Romeos’ lunch Friday, June 21, 1:00, NOT as usual. Come to the Habitat house build and get fed free, same day, same time more or less.

3.   The Women's Lunch Group on Thursdays is on.  Next Thursday, June 27th at 1 pm, all will meet at Southern Recipe, 1381 W Campbell Rd  Richardson, TX 75080, (972) 231-7891. For info talk with Carol or Bernadette.

4.   This Sunday, Dick Taylor, director of our local Habitat group, will talk
with the community.

Whenever I'm disappointed with my spot in life, I stop and think about little Jamie Scott. Jamie was trying out for a part in the school play. His mother told me that he'd set his heart on being in it, though she feared he would not be chosen.

On the day the parts were awarded, I went with her to collect him after school. Jamie rushed up to her, eyes shining with pride and excitement. 'Guess what, Mom,' he shouted, and then said those words that will remain a lesson to me. ‘I've been chosen to clap and cheer.'
