Hey Father Stack, I am in desperate need of your help. We had some wonderful women show up to the meeting but we were wondering if you know of any other volunteers as well. We have only had 4 hours of sleep in the last two days and are stuggling to function. We just need some more day help so I can grab an occasional nap.

    World Autism Awareness Day

      

    The United Nations has declared April 2, 2010 World Autism

    Awareness Day, with the goal of increasing and developing

    world knowledge of autism.  On Sunday, March 21st, we will be

    reading special prayers and poems for the children and families

    affected by this condition.  We will have a table, sitting in

    front of the altar, for photographs of these children.

    I just discovered my age group! I am a Seenager. (Senior teenager)  

    I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50-60 years later. 

    I don't have to go to school or work

    I get an allowance every month.

    I have my own pad. 

    I don't have a curfew. 

    I have a driver's license and my own car.

     I have ID that gets me into bars and the wine store. I like the wine store best.

    The people I hang around with are not scared of getting pregnant, they aren't scared of anything, they have been blessed to live this long, why be scared?

    And I don't have acne.     Life is Good!

Similar to the angel trees that you see in shopping malls for children, senior citizens also need our help to make their holidays brighter.      For those who don’t have a decent Bible or a book of the readings, here are two links that I use, The Bible at Your Fingertips and USCCB, The New American Bible. 

    The difference?  The first is Protestant more or less, and the second is officially Catholic and has the 12 little books in between the O.T. & N.T., called Deuterocanonical or Apocrypha.
