    Oh the dear bodies, slumped and eye-shut, that could not

    keep that vigil, how they must have wept,

    so utterly human, knowing this too

    must be a part of the story.

    Philippians 3:  Just one thing: forgetting what lies behind but straining forward to what lies ahead, I continue my pursuit toward the goal, the prize of God’s upward calling, in Christ Jesus.

    John 8: “Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”

    2 Corinthians 5:  So we are ambassadors for Christ, as if God were appealing through us.

    Luke 15: While he was still a long way off, his father caught sight of him, and was filled with compassion.  He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him.

    1 Corinthians 10:  These things happened as examples for us, so that we might not desire evil things, as they did.

    Luke 13:  ‘Sir, leave it for this year also, and I shall cultivate the ground around it and fertilize it; it may bear fruit in the future.  If not you can cut it down.’”
